The Catchment
The Upper Forth River catchment stretches from the forested headwaters of the Forth at Loch Chon and Loch Ard, across the floodplains of the Carse of Stirling, meandering through a patchwork landscape of diverse rural land uses and communities to Stirling.
It is a productive working landscape, supporting forestry and farming, as well as of nature rich and wild grasslands, wetlands, and woodlands that support wildlife and rural livelihoods.
